Founder and Chair, Intentional Play Summit and Co-Founder, Playmation Studios
Jen is the Founder and Chair of the Intentional Play Summit. She started this event out of a desire to bring the community together for a day to learn, grow, and be inspired to take bigger strides toward making better games for learning and meaningful play. She is also the Co-Founder of Playmation Studios, a company making novel games that have won awards for their innovative and engaging gameplay and have been covered in numerous publications including the Washington Post and Big Think. Playmation Studios is pioneering the development of natural language processing technology that allows for new language based gameplay. Jen holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management with a focus in entrepreneurship and social enterprise. She began her career as an educator that taught students through real-world games and immersion in the ultimate interactive classroom – Yosemite National Park.
The Founder and Chair of the Intentional Play Summit will share a few brief words about why she started this event. She will share her belief in why these conversations are so important and what her hopes and dreams are for the future of games for learning and meaningful play.
